Alaskans for Fair and Equitable Redistricting
AFFER was formed 2010 and again in 2021 to provide technical support and consulting services to Alaskan organization needing to participate in the Statewide redistricting process.
Our goal is to drawing good boundaries that follow easily identifiable lines and geographic features ,that also protect communities, regional interests and legal rights of individuals.
AFFER provides a variety of analytical services to navigate the myriad of historical, cultural, geographic and legal requirements considered for each plan submittal.
AFFER works hard to bring together entities with common interests, facilitating discussions and ideas which result in actionable submittals to the State of Alaska redistricting board to support testimony and consideration.
AFFER has resources to facilitate in person meetings, video conference and interactive map preparation and professional large format map production to support each effort.
